Solutions
Data-Driven Cloud Networking
Data-driven cloud networking uses an open approach to cloud networking around a single consistent software platform, the Arista EOS® network stack, and network data lake architecture (NetDL™), with the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) to automation and security challenges.
Arista cloud networking extends the guiding principles of cloud-scale operators into a portfolio of cloud networking solutions serving data center, hybrid cloud, campus, wide area, and low-latency environments. These principles include the use of open APIs, programmability at every layer, cloud automation, self-service zero-touch provisioning, and a standards-based Universal Cloud Network (UCN) deployment architecture.
Arista has pioneered the application of cloud networking principles to core routing. The transformation of legacy networks by applying the principles of scale-out, simplify and automate is delivered by Arista’s 7280R3 Universal Leaf and 7500R3 and 7800R3 Universal Spine platforms, powered by Arista EOS® and CloudVision®. The R-series fixed system portfolio offers a rich breadth of connectivity options with a range systems from 800Gbps to 21.6Tbps in 1 and 2 U. The 7280R3 compact modular router and expanded choices in the 800G ready 7800R3 series scales all the way to 460 Tbps or 576 ports of 400G with a single consistent architecture. Customers can leverage these platforms for roles that require high performance routing, combined with high port density and deep buffers, integrated DWDM with wirespeed encryption, managed via cloud automation, which legacy router platforms are not able to offer.
We are witnessing a massive transition in the post pandemic era of blurring the lines between the office, home, tele-worker in transit and users into elastic workspaces. Arista’s Cognitive campus as a service is based on a data driven architecture and offers consistent, unified management across the campus edge for wired and wireless networks as well as integrated security & proactive network assurance.

Arista Multi Cloud Networking Platform
CloudEOS™ is Arista’s multi cloud and cloud native networking solution enabling a highly secure and reliable networking experience with consistent segmentation, telemetry, provisioning and troubleshooting for the entire enterprise. It can be deployed across the enterprise edge, WAN, campus, data center, on-premises Kubernetes clusters, and multiple public and private clouds.
CloudEOS provides multi cloud connectivity across the entire enterprise cloud environment with high-performance virtual and container-based instances of EOS® software that simplify network operations and integrate with declarative cloud provisioning toolchains like Terraform, Ansible, and other popular CloudOps and DevOps tools.
The networking demands of big data analytics, flash-based and scale out storage, and hyper-converged compute solutions are driving a migration from legacy fibre channel to next generation IP-based storage networks. These next generation storage applications require an open, programmable, lossless and highly available IP storage networking solution in order to support their unique traffic patterns.
From network security to secure networks
A new age of edge-less, multi-cloud, multi-device collaboration for hybrid work has given rise to a new network that transcends perimeters. As hybrid work models continue to gain precedence through the new network, it has become vital for organizations to address the cascading attack surface. Continuously evolving cyber threats can no longer be mitigated by reactionary bolt-on security measures. Instead, organizations need security to permeate everything that happens on the network today.
Arista offers a next-generation approach to TAP Aggregation — network observability — that enables, pervasive network visibility, zero-trust security monitoring and contextual analytics for high density, non-blocking 10/25/40/50/100GbE networks at any scale– all powered by Arista Data ANalyZer (DANZ) monitoring software solutions to deliver cloud-scale visibility with Ethernet economics
Arista Network Observability Product portfolio comprises of:
- DANZ Monitoring Fabric (DMF) — is a next-generation, controller-based network packet broker (NPB) with integrated advanced services, predictive analytics and scale-out packet capture.
- DANZ EOS — enables a switch-based tap aggregation solution with familiar Arista EOS® and Arista CloudVision® operational model.
Visibility is a critical component to a more efficient cloud-like network. Being able to capture what a network is ‘thinking’ or ‘doing’ is the basis for true network automation and analytics. Legacy networking has long suffered from limitations in network visibility largely due to inefficient polling mechanisms that only provide a limited subset of data. As a result, the operators of legacy networks have been essentially blinded when it comes to true network insight.
Today’s cloud networks operate at a scale where visibility is even more important for efficient operations, and legacy visibility solutions do not meet the cloud requirements. In particular, today’s cloud networks require fine-grained visibility into:
- Network state in real-time
- Dynamic workloads in virtualized and containerized environments
- Advanced monitoring and instrumentation for troubleshooting
A true cloud networking operating system, Arista EOS® has been designed for advanced telemetry from the start. The key to Arista’s telemetry solution is the state-based software architecture of Arista EOS. From the beginning, Arista EOS platforms store all real-time state in one common database, SysDB, easily accessible through powerful APIs and SDKs. With the software infrastructure enhancements to NetDBTM, EOS-based devices are now able to stream every state change from every device into an aggregated network-wide view.
